The Gingerly Tower · At Home

Fresh herbs on your patio. None of the work.

An outdoor hydroponic tower we install on your patio, deck, or backyard. We plant it, feed it, and visit on a recurring service. You walk out and cut what you need.

What It Is

An outdoor herb garden, fully tended.

The Tower is a vertical aeroponic column that lives outside in the sun. We bring it, we plant it, we tend it. Every week or two we're on your property for thirty minutes refreshing the system. Between visits, you walk out, snip what you need, and go cook.

20 Plants per Tower
30 × 30 Inch Footprint
55" Tall
98% Less Water vs. Soil
Sunlight

Outdoor only, natural light.

The Tower needs real sun to thrive. Patio, deck, courtyard, or backyard, anywhere it can catch at least six hours of direct light a day. No grow lights, no indoor installs.

Service

We come back on a cadence.

Weekly or every other week, depending on the season and the system. We test the water, top up nutrients, prune, and replant anything that's finished or struggling.

Harvest

You cut what you cook with.

The Tower is producing year-round. Walk out, snip basil for the pasta or parsley for the eggs. Bring it back to the kitchen and keep moving.

Ideas for the Tower

A starter list for the kitchen.

Pick a mix that matches the way you cook. Swap it out across the year as your tastes shift. If you want something we haven't listed, ask. We can usually source the seed.

The list is a starting point. Tell us what you actually use in the kitchen and we'll build the mix.

Common Questions

What households usually ask first.

Where does it go?

Outside, in a sunny spot. Patio, deck, courtyard, side yard, anywhere it gets at least six hours of direct sun. Roughly 30 by 30 inches of footprint and a little overhead clearance. We'll help you pick the right spot when we visit.

What about weather? Charleston gets some.

The Tower handles normal Lowcountry weather without much fuss. For hurricanes or hard freezes, we coordinate with you to move it or shelter it. We grow year-round, with seasonal adjustments to the planting mix.

How is this different from a regular garden?

The Tower is aeroponic, which means roots hang in the air and nutrients are delivered through a fine mist instead of soil. That uses up to 98% less water than soil-based gardening, takes much less space (vertical instead of sprawling), and grows plants up to three times faster. Many crops are harvest-ready about three weeks after we transplant.

How big is it, and can I add more?

The base Tower has a 30 by 30 inch footprint, stands 55 inches tall, holds a 20-gallon reservoir, and grows up to 20 plants. Extension kits exist for the FLEX unit, getting you up to 40 plants and 10 sections tall. We'll talk through what fits your space.

Is it loud? Will it make a mess?

The pump cycles quietly, similar to a small fountain. The system is closed and recirculating, so no soil and no runoff. We bring everything we need on visits and clean up before we leave.

What about pets, kids, or vacations?

Pets and kids are no problem. The Tower is stable and there's nothing sharp or toxic in the system. For vacations, the Tower runs itself between visits, and we coordinate around longer trips so the harvest is timed for when you're back.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on the install and the visit cadence your home needs. We walk through it in a short conversation so you only pay for the shape that fits. Reach out and we'll talk through it.

How soon can you start?

Depends on the time of year and where we are in the calendar. After your inquiry we'll have a clear answer within a couple of days.

Is this a gift idea?

It can be. Best path: reach out and tell us a bit about the recipient and their outdoor space. We'll help you figure out the right way to make it work as a gift.
